Ostirion Empire

Formed after a group of rebellious nobles fled Barad and began to form their own settlement deep in the countryside of Ivalice. They disliked the monarchy and its corruption, and so the militaristic country was created. Citizens ascended the ranks by demonstrating their skill and leadership to a select few who were deemed "leaders." The ONYX MILITIA was formed and has been the ruling power for the country for a long time. Though they claim equality, it is painfully obvious when stepping into the country who has it better off. The rich get richer and the poor only get poorer. The country is divided with the insanely wealthy and the extremely poor, and hardly anything in between. Those with a family history of military servitude usually end up better off, but those who choose to stay out of their way don't get much help at all.
